Candiates can start with a level 2 apprenticeship and progress to a level 3 in the sector area where level 2 competences are established.
Aim of Programme
Apprenticeships cover Maths, English and ICT Functional Skills PLUS a sector qualification and employees’ rights and responsibilities. The combination of training with work experience offers an essential development for career advancement. CLMD’s apprenticeships are for candidates 16 plus.
The programme is funded by the SFA and ESF and there is no cost to you the candidate.
A tutor will provide training in Maths, English and Work Preparation in our centre as well as offer additional online support. Candidates will take functional skills tests in Maths and English and will be introduced to employees’ rights and responsibilities. Work placement training will be provided by the designated employer to further advance employability skills. Candidates will be assessed on their NVQ qualificationbased on their work performance and progress. There will also be some written assessments.
Qualifications on successful completion
Functional Skills Maths, English and ICT, relevant sector qualification.
On completion of the Apprenticeship programme, candidates can progress to a more advanced apprenticeship or more senior employment position.
